LA Fitness - Locations

When I was looking for a gym I found it very difficult to locate one that suited my location. LA Fitness is one of the largest gym clubs in the world and it is this gym that I researched first. It is building new gyms all the time and are becoming very popular.
At the moment they are located in the United States, Canada and England. They offer a standard layout to the establishments which, when you are visiting a gym which is not your local one, can be very reassuring as you feel comfortable with the layout and what is available.
They offer so many things - too many to list them all, but the ones I have found interesting I have mentioned below.
Aerobics Basics - an oldie, but a goodie. Getting the heart pumping and your lungs expanding are what is achieved in these classes. Put in a fun program with others around you, you are encouraged to join in and push yourself to your utmost performance. The high you receive after performing one of these workouts is just unbelievable and well worth the effort.
Aqua Fit - I really enjoy this one. Exercising while partially weightless is a great way to get fit. I recently had a sore ankle and was unable to do my usual workout. So I opted for Aqua Fit Classes and this helped improve my ankle while still keeping the rest of my body fit.
Belly Dancing - Now here is a really fun way to tone up your stomach and hips. It looks fairly easy, until you try it. Boy, does it work out those muscles. Also the arms get a good working over too. This is one of those things that you can do that has advantages like being able to perform your routine in front of your friends, or if a little shyer your loved ones. They will be impressed and amazed as you gyrate and strut your stuff. The costumes you can get are also really cool.
Bootcamp Conditioning - Not a program I have tried, but I have heard great things about it. If you are the type that enjoys a fast paced, disciplined workout that will improve all facets of your health, then try this. It's a bit gung ho for me, but some people like this sort of training.
Club Boxing Circuit - Do you every have moments when you are totally uptight or angry about a situation, but don't want to publicly embarrass yourself by exhibiting your feelings?. Then do a bit of boxing. It relieves the tension as well as builds your upper body strength and mass, as well as improve your agility. It also comes in handy if you are ever in a situation where you are in a dark alley with a person of questionable character who won't take no for an answer.
Step It Up - This is like a musical aerobics class, but you use a step up in your routines. This really gets your calves and thighs burning. It is always fun to workout to the rhythm of the music and perform choreographed exercises with the rest of the class, giving you a feeling of "team" performance.
Latin Heat - Ah, the Latin beat. Fast, sexy and totally addictive. You can't help but start to dance when this music hits your ears. Join your class mates in performing choreographed movements that will whisk you away to tropical paradise and work up a sweat in a fun way.

This is just an example of some of the things you can do at the gym. Obviously, you have the standard equipment available and weights for those who prefer the more traditional workouts. But that's fun, so keep up the good work. Have a look at LA Fitness to see what I mean.
